About him

Jack Johnson was born in Oahu, Hawaii in 1975. He is an American folk rock singer-songwriter, surfer and musician. He is the son of Jeff Johnson, a well-known surfer, so since he was young he was interested in sports. He began when he was 5 years old, and when he was 17 became the youngest invitee to make the surfing finals at the Pipeline Masters on Oahu's north shore. One week later he had a terrible accident when he was surffing. He had to stop surfing for a long time, and he begin playing the guitar.While Johnson learned the guitar at the age of 14 and started songwriting at the age of 16, he had a band in college. He began famous with his album  Brushfire Fairytales, and with songs like:  "Upside Down"; "Flake"; "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing"; "If I Had Eyes"; "You and Your Heart"; "Taylor"...
He is married since 2000, and he has three children.
